About Susse |
| |
British designer Susse Linton launched Susse Collection in 1999 in London. Originally a textiles designer for several international fashion houses, Susse’s textiles have graced the catwalks of London, Paris, Milan, New York and Tokyo.
Seeing the success of her textiles designs translate well into the designer market, Susse decided to combined her love of textile design and handbags. The Susse Collection label was born.
Susse’s big break came in 2002, when she exhibited her handbags at Metropolitan Hotel during London Fashion Week. Exposure to top department stores soon led to an impressive retail-client list, including the famous Parisian department store Le Bon Marche
Since then, Susse Collection has created a large following in Japan. The Collection has been showcased alongside other British handbag designers Anya Hindmarch and Cath Kidston at department store Daimaru, and at the Mitsukoshi flagship store. In 2004 Daimaru specially commissioned a Christmas and White Day range of handbags.
In August 2007, Susse designed a specially commissioned winter collection, The Ginza, for the Shiseido lifestyle store in Tokyo. Recently, Susse Collection launched the Cute Hamish, an exclusive mini-bag design for US e-zine Shefinds.com to raise funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
Susse moved to Australia the end of 2005 and lives and works in Sydney. Future projects and new product ideas are on their way as Susse Collection continues to add more fun to your day.
