This project looks at how we interface with devices and what intelligent navigation would look like for situation based interactions.
I design this watch with engineering level surfaces using NURBS. This is still the best way for manufacture and surfacing. Curve networks are still relevant.
This was an interface I designed which was situation base, such as time of day or your mood. You access suitable media based on this context.
This video is design project where I'm looking at how light reflects from vehicles. This a simple form, but I've added crisp lines onto the body to bring a level of sharpness. Then I've sketched over top to help me understand where the details will go.
Various work in progress images of a project I'm currently creating. Cars are like reflectors of the enviroment. Here I want to have intentional lines which shapes light in a crisp way. I'm also avoiding muscle bumps which serve no real purpose.
This is a design I created for Goo. It was quite a complex brief but works pretty well.
Here I've connected multiple streams of data to drive different variables in 3D. The result shows how we might create an ontology to understand lots of information as an image.
Try this if you want to have a go.
These are treatments on merging one type of material into another along a join. In this case a softer material which protects a screen from a drop. Also how to present a button within the surface of a material.
Further to the work we are doing with materials, these are the latest creations. It's a testament to the power and beauty of mathematics.
